Typical landing and taxi lights in aircraft utilize a lamp that has a tungsten filament. Tungsten, which is a special metal, produces relatively high efficiency white light when electrical current flows through it. Tungsten wire is wound between two electrodes within the lamp.

The Flap Controller is a combination drive unit for the flap actuator, and an indicator of flap position. It features momentary push button switches with built in green LED lights, providing settings for 4 flap positions. Each switch can be user pro- grammed to a specific flap position. Once calibrated, momentarily pushing any switch, will then automatically drive the flaps to the pre selected position and stop.
