The DeFuniak Springs Kiwanis Club will be hosting a pilots pancake breakfast at 7 a.m. The DeFuniak Springs Rotary Club will be hosting a hamburger/hotdog lunch. Other food vendors will be providing pulled pork sandwiches, sausage dogs, funnel cakes, fried Oreos, and more.

Trinity Center Airport (O86) - Seaplane pilots,
enjoy a rare annular eclipse that occurs when the Sun and Moon are exactly in line, and the Sun appears as a very bright ring surrounding the outline of the Moon. Amphib seaplanes meet at O86. Straight float seaplanes tie up at the KOA campground. Partial eclipse starts at 5:10 PM. Annular eclipse lasts just 5 minutes beginning at 6:25 PM. Hotdog and hamburgers dinner starting at 5PM. Do NOT view this eclipse with just the naked eye. Solar viewing glasses included with dinner.

Brackett Field (POC) - Aircraft & car display. Fly ins/drive ins welcomed. Free and ample parking. Biplane rides. Restaurant on site. Historical sign offs at 2pm. Invite family & friends.

Lunch is at 1 PM at the Airport Cafe. Speaker will be Rich Lach of the Recreational Aviation Foundation. Amphibious seaplanes can tie down at the airport. Floatplanes with straight floats should tie up near the airport and walk a few tenths of a mile to the airport.

Yuba County Airport (MYV) - The purpose of Golden West is to promote aviation education and safety by holding an annual Regional Fly-in. Golden West strives to present aviation at its best in a venue that provides a fun and educational outing for the entire family. Golden West Regional Fly-In is the youngest of the nine Regional Fly-ins. The first Golden West Fly-in was in 1998 at the former Castle Air Force Base near Merced, CA. In 2000 the event was relocated to the Sacramento Executive airport to provide access for more people. The final move to the new site at Yuba County Airport in Marysville provides access for a large number of people and plenty of space to accommodate all of the elements listed above. It also gives the Fly-in room to grow.

Kingdon Airport (O20) - Car Show Model Airplane Show and all day General Aviation Fly in, Light Sport Fly In, Aircraft Show. Pilot Competitions and open to public airplane rides. A weekend of great fun and events.

Porterville Municipal Airport (PTV) - The Western Association of Mooney Mites invites everyone to their semi-annual Fly-In and get-together. Our gathering is small, just like our airplanes, but things will be lively because the City of Porterville is having the annual Porterville Air Faire on Saturday the 9th.

On June 10th from 0800hrs to 1300hrs we will be sponsoring a Fly-In breakfast as our annual fund raiser. Food will be provided by Dad’s Belgian Waffles. We have been guaranteed additional waffle irons to eliminate waiting in line for food. Last year over 1,000 breakfasts were served. Come early!!

It's not too early to start planning your visit to the 8th annual Canards West at Columbia Airport in N. California.
If you have not visited Columbia you are missing an experience. Nestled in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada mountains it is a jewel not to be missed.
It is a short walk to the old gold mining town of Columbia which has been preserved as it was in the heyday of the 49ers Gold Rush .
The town has good restaurants and an authentic hotel from the gold mining period..
The camp ground at the airport has clean toilets and hot showers and a clubhouse that we will be using for presentations and the Saturday evening dinner.
The last 7 Fly Ins have been a great success and we intend this year's to reset the standard.

The Oregon State Smokejumper Heritage Tree Dedication commemorates the state’s aerial firefighter history and the role of aviation in firefighting. The event takes place next to the tarmac at the historic Siskiyou Smokejumper Base near the southwest corner of Oregon. Siskiyou Smokejumper Base was Oregon’s first aerial firefighter facility and one of the first four bases in American history. It is now the oldest standing aerial firefighting base in America. Oregon’s smokejumper history includes a segregated African American military unit, conscientious objectors working as smokejumpers during WWII, the Apollo 14 moon tree story, the smallest smokejumper in American history, and more. The local volunteer fire department will hold a fund raiser breakfast on Saturday morning with an opportunity to sit and have a cup of coffee with a smokejumper.
